Re: Akari Hakiro :: Dark Future & Young Visionaries
History:
Akari is the son of Chio and Takashi in an alternate timeline. In this timeline, Frostbite was "killed" by her sister. This led to a fight with the Gods that the mortals could not prevent, due in part to the lack of Frostbite as a priestess. The night before the first battle, Chio and Takashi finally admitted their love for each other. The next morning, Takashi was killed in battle by Zeus. The heroes are defeated and the world falls under the control of tyrants and dictators.
Sixteen years later, Akari is a young man and part of a rebel hero group. At this point, he and his fellow heroes suddenly discover an odd power reading from the old Visionary's base. It turns out to be Frostbite, who was not killed but in fact simply sent to the future. She helps Akari and the other young heroes collect the artifacts necessary to defeat the Gods' avatar on Earth and send her back home to prevent this catastrophe from happening. She and Akari also have a brief affair, leading to the conception of a female child.
As the time approaches to fight, Akari is having troubling thoughts. Will he still be born if the world is set right? Feeling this may be his last chance at life, he throws himself at the avatar and is killed. The avatar is defeated and the future begins to rebuild. Frostbite is successfully sent back to the past, to the place and time she left. She is able to defeat her sister and prevent the great war. Because of this, the "night before" for Takashi and Chio is not the same experience as it was before. Also, Takashi is worrying over his own predestined fate, and so no child is begotten.
Somehow, in yet another alternate timeline, there is an Akari and a Dark Future in which Frostbite does not appear, due to the fact that the attack on her by her sister was completely successful. This Akari is thus forced to stay underground with his fellow team mates. He does attempt to defeat the avatar, but unfortunately all of his team mates are killed in the process. Defeated, he sinks into an obsession about the past, trying to find anything that will allow him to defeat the Gods and their avatar. He discovers the truth about his father's past, and how "power" was transferred within the Hakiro family by the sons killing their fathers. Enraged that his own father had denied him this right, and wrongly thinking this "power" was something more than just a simple inheritance, and perhaps was in fact a powerful weapon or an additional super power etc, Akari broods and sinks into a depression. He feels he is incapable of saving his world.
At this time, a young girl appears before him. She is vaguely familiar looking to him, though he isn't sure why. As quickly as she came she's gone, but Akari feels himself drawn to her, pulled even. Darkness closes about him and when he awakens, he is inside of a pocket dimension belonging to this girl. A terse conversation follows in which the girl reveals herself to be Akari's own daughter! Realizing he is now in an alternate universe where his father is alive, Akari breaks out of her pocket universe to seek out his father and attain his power. Unfortunately the Visionarys are occupied at the time with their own dimensional hopping. Enraged, Akari turns his attention to the Young Visionarys. He tests their strength and finds them inadequet as heroes, considering his own strength at their age. He then vows to continue "testing" them until his father returns home, or he finds some other way to save his own world. In this way, he becomes the Young Visionary's first arch nemesis.
